Weekly Events
Burrs Country Park
We meet on Sundays at the Paddlesport Training Pool at Burrs Country Park during the Summer months, refer to our calendar or facebook page for up to date events. You are more than welcome to come down as a first time paddler. We have the basic necessary equipment for you to use at a small cost, refer to the equipment page for more information about our equipment.
We usually spend about 1 to 2 hours on the Paddlesport Training Pool and then splinter off, with members paddling the River Irwell while others stay on the Paddlepsort Training Pool.
Oulder Hill Leisure Complex
We meet on Sundays at 5pm at Oulder Hill Leisure Complex during the Winter months, in 2021 this will be based on interest, refer to our calendar for up to date events. You are more than welcome to come down as a first time paddler. We have the basic necessary equipment for you to use at a small cost, refer to the equipment page for more information about our equipment.
Monthly Events
Trips
We try and organise at least two river trips a month with a range of standard so that all members wishing to paddle white water can do so. We typically go to South Lakes or North Wales to paddle on white water.
If you wish to undertake a different or more varied trip then we will try and accommodate that trip within the skills and expertise of Club members. All of our events are on our calendar.
Committee Meetings
We hold a monthly committee meeting at the Brown Cow Pub in Burrs Country Park on the third Tuesday at 8pm. All members are welcome to the committee meetings.
Annual Events
Glenridding Bunkhouse
We hold a social weekend in Bury Council's bunkhouse in Glenridding, Cumbria. This weekend is usually held in March. The bunk house holds 30 people. More information regarding costings and timings for each event will be available
BBQ
We hold a social BBQ at the Brown Howe Car Park on the edge of Coniston Water usually in June.
Halloween Night Paddle
We hold an evenings dark and spooky Halloween trip too.
Duck Race
We assist the Ramsbottom Rotary Club with their annual duck race usually held in May.
